FIRE RISK ASSESSMENT OVERVIEW
From 1st October 2006 The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires the Responsible Person (RP) of any non-domestic premises to carry out a fire risk assessment, including measures to reduce or eliminate the risk of fire, and identify persons at risk.
The ‘Responsible Person’ must make a suitable and sufficient assessment of the risk to which all relevant persons are exposed for the purpose of identifying the general fire precautions that need to be taken. The Responsible Person could be either the Landlord of the premises, an Employer or the Managing Agent of the premises etc.
